I have just added last weeks recipes from Something for the Weekend, even though I watched the show last week, we have been very busy at The Cocktail Store this week so not had chance to upload them. Anyway this weekend Wayne Collins gave us a couple of fantastic forgotten Vodka cocktails. So here they are…
- 25ml/1fl oz fresh lemon juice
- 1 small free-range egg white
- 2 tsp fine caster sugar
- 50ml/2fl oz vodka
- 25ml/1fl oz triple sec
- bitters, to serve
Place the lemon juice, egg white, sugar, vodka and triple sec into a cocktail shaker, with a handful of ice. Shake well, then strain the cocktail into a coupette glass. Garnish with the angostura bitters.
- 3 dashes orange bitters
- 50ml/2fl oz chilled vodka
- 20ml/¾fl oz dry vermouth
- 2 tsp grenadine syrup
- lemon twist, to garnish
Place the orange bitters, vodka, vermouth and grenadine syrup into a cocktail mixer with a handful of ice. Shake well, then strain the cocktail into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
That’s all for this weekends recipes from Wayne Collins,
Until next time…
